В ЧЁМ СЕКРЕТ КИНЕМАТОГРАФА СССР?
На новогодних каникулах, пожалуй, почти каждая русская семья пересматривает «Операцию «Ы» и другие приключения Шурика» (1965), «Кавказскую пленницу» (1966), «Иронию судьбы, или С лёгким паром» (1975). Но у меня дома просмотр советских фильмов традиционно приходится на вечер пятницы. Правда, в кинолентах того периода существует особая магия и эстетика. Они отличаются от премьер сегодняшнего дня и называются «вечными».
После просмотра «Неоконченной пьесы для механического пианино» (1976) я поговорила с бабушкой. Она знает многие фразы из фильмов буквально наизусть, потому что в 60-х годах её мама работала руководителем кинотеатров Белокалитвинского района. Вместе мы сошлись на одном мнении. По нашим наблюдениям, вспоминая о фильмах СССР, чаще называют картины эпохи «застоя» — период с конца 60-х до середины 80-х годов. Именно в эти годы создают популярные киноленты, которые мы помним и любим до сих пор.
В этой статье я постараюсь рассказать про их особенности и выделить самые важные черты позднего советского кино.
РАЗВИТИЕ ТЕЛЕВИДЕНИЯ
В 70-е картины всё чаще создаются не только для проката. Аудитория кинотеатров переходит на телевидение. Именно там место находят такие фильмы, как «Место встречи изменить нельзя» (1979), «Здравствуйте, я ваша тётя!» (1975), «Тот самый Мюнхгаузен» (1979), «12 стульев» (1971), «Обыкновенное чудо» (1978). На экранах хронометраж не был сильно ограничен, поэтому выпускались многосерийные фильмы. Люди, не отрываясь, смотрели «Вечный зов» (1973), «Тени исчезают в полдень» (1971) и «17 мгновений весны» (1973).
СТИЛЬ
Смотря кадры из фильмов эпохи «застоя», понимаешь, что у них очень узнаваемое изображение с зеленовато-грязноватым оттенком. Их можно почти безошибочно отличить от кинолент сталинского и оттепельского периодов. Этот эффект создаётся благодаря плёнке «СВЕМА». Именно на неё были сняты большинство фильмов.
Советские кинематографы в этот период старались передать меланхоличное настроение героев. Благодаря оттенку, который давала плёнка, удавалось лучше всего показывать осень. Это время года в «застойном» кино стало центральным и в названиях: «Осенний марафон» (1979), «Отпуск в сентябре» (1979), «Когда наступает сентябрь» (1975), «Осень» (1974).
Режиссёры стремились показать в кино эпохи «застоя» личность с её частными проблемами. Это позволяло им показать реальность. Выбор локаций для съёмок чаще падал на обыденные места: панельные дома, стандартные квартиры, общественный транспорт и привычные магазины. Сюжет фильма «Ирония судьбы, или С лёгким паром!» (1975) также построен на принципе однообразия картинки. Главный герой этой киноленты попадает в чужую картину и не замечает этого.
КИНОТИПЫ ЭПОХИ «ЗАСТОЯ»
В этот период с экранов исчезают однозначные характеры с возвышенными идеалами. На передний план выходят повседневные обстоятельства и зависимые от них люди.
Главный образ кино этого периода – мужчина средних лет. У него, кажется, есть всё: работа, карьера, квартира, друзья. Однако внутренние противоречия, тревога по поводу устройства общества и экзистенциальный кризис заставляют его бунтовать, замыкаться в собственном внутреннем мире или убегать от проблем. Подобный тип можно увидеть в фильмах «Подранки» (1976), «Отпуск в сентябре» (1979), «Полёты во сне и наяву» (1982), «Осенний марафон» (1979). Так выделяют вопросы о сложности бессмысленного существования, апатии и опустошённости, которые висели в воздухе в «застойную» эпоху.
Другой центральный образ – успешная женщина, терпящая неудачу в личной жизни. Такой тип показан в «Служебном романе» (1977), «Старых стенах» (1973), «Москва слезам не верит» (!979).
Один из главных конфликтов – столкновение городских и деревенских жителей. В фильмах этого периода показывают исчезновение и уничтожение крестьянского мира. В «Прощании» (1981) режиссёры показали, как под воду уходит целый посёлок. Главные герои в «Афоне» (1975) и в «Калине красной» (1973) – мужчины, которые не могут навести родственников в деревне. В фильмах «застоя» научно-технический прогресс уничтожает связь двух миров.
ДРУГИЕ БЕРЕГА
Зрителям эпохи «застоя» реальность казалась обыденной. Им хотелось сбежать в другие миры из окружающей действительности: на Запад, в викторианскую Англию и в рыцарское Средневековье. Тогда популярными стали такие киноленты, как «Табор уходит в небо» (1976), «Соломенная шляпка» (!974), «Здравствуйте, я ваша тетя!» (1975), «Собака на сене» (1977), «Шерлок Холмс и доктор Ватсон: Знакомство» (1979), «Стрелы Робин Гуда» (1975).
Мультфильм «Бременские музыканты» можно даже назвать признанием в любви к западной поп-культуре. В нём есть отсылки к «The Beatles» и Элвису Пресли.
С развитием телевидения зрители всё реже посещают кинотеатры. Тогда советские режиссёры снимают фильмы по стандартам западного коммерческого кино. Так появляются «Экипаж» (1979), «Пираты XX века» (1979). Так создаётся и «Москва слезам не верит» (1979) – кинолента, благодаря которой Владимир Меньшов получил премию «Оскар».
ОСТРОВ ДЕТСТВА
Если взрослые в фильмах «застоя» мучительно выясняют отношения, то дети путешествуют и влюбляются. В детских кинолентах находят место фантазии о будущем: «Москва — Кассиопея» (1973), «Гостья из будущего» (1984), «Отроки во Вселенной (1974).
Основной сюжет для подростковых фильмов – первая любовь: «Вам и не синилось…» (1980), «В моей смерти прошу винить Клаву К.» (1979), «Сто дней после детства» (1975). В мире бессмысленного существования именно дети способны проявлять искренние чувства, показывать настоящие эмоции.
Однако в оптике «застойного» кино и светлый мир детства разрушается. В фильме «Чучело» (1983) первая любовь для Лены Бессольцевой оборачивается трагедией. Оказалось, дети тоже способны быть жестокими и равнодушными.
ЭКРАНИЗАЦИИ РУССКОЙ КЛАССИКИ
Сбежать от обыденной реальности помогает также съёмка фильмов по книгам русских классиков. В 1965 году Сергей Бондарчук создаёт кино-эпопею «Война и мир» длительностью почти 7 часов. Также появляются экранизации И.С. Тургенева – «Дворянское гнездо» (1969), А.Н. Островского – «Жестокий романс» (1984), А.П. Чехова – «Чайка» (1970), И.А. Гончарова – «Несколько дней из жизни И.И. Обломова» (1979).
Кино эпохи «застоя» не совершило революцию, однако именно о нём мы вспоминаем в первую очередь. Поздние советские фильмы рассчитаны будто только на внутреннюю аудитории. В них говорится о проблемах людей той эпохи. Но вместе с тем они понятны почти всем и сейчас. Эти киноленты узнаваемы и горячо любимы. Моя бабушка всегда говорит, что камерные, зачастую консервативные и непритязательные фильмы и составляют наш «культурный код». Именно в них соседствуют чувство безопасности и светлая грусть – всё то, что близко каждому из нас.
