Каждый испытывал сложность в восприятии картинки какого-либо фильма или сериала. Иногда сложно как-то однозначно охарактеризовать увиденное. И, как правило, нас вводит в заблуждение не только сюжет и конец, но и та особая атмосфера, специфические детали, звук, музыка… У каждой картины по-разному. Но именно так складывается пазл фильма—собирается в одно целое для того, чтобы добиться максимального эффекта на зрителя: в этом вопросе всё зависит от жанра. Я люблю такое кинематографическое искусство, после которого ходишь словно в трансе, и обычно- там, где закрученный сюжет и открытый или полуоткрытый финал. Я могу себя назвать человеком, достаточно сведущим в кинематографии, но абсолютно поменявшим свой взгляд на кино после одного просмотренного сериала. Первый вопрос у меня был впоследствии просмотра: ”Как такое можно было снять?” (в очень положительном смысле). Потому, что без моего ведома в моей голове произошла целая революция: я научилась анализировать просмотренное и всё равно не понимать…

«Твин Пикс»
Первый сезон вышел 8 апреля 1990 года на канале ABC. Он был одним из самых рейтинговых сериалов 1990 года, но низкие рейтинги привели к его раннему завершению в 1991 году после второго сезона. В последующие годы «Твин Пикс» часто числился среди списков величайших драматических сериалов всех времён (Cosgrove-Mather, Bootie. TV Guide Names Top 50 Shows, CBS News (26 апреля 2002). Однако сериал получил продолжение через 25 (!) лет. «Увидимся через 25 лет,» — прошептала Лора Палмер агенту ФБР Дэйлу Куперу в последней серии 2 сезона «Твин Пикса», что, впоследствии, так и случилось. А как он создавался?

Марк Фрост приобрел небольшой дом на берегу озера в провинциальном городке Снокуэлми Фолл, расположенном в восьми километрах от канадской границы. Окруженный древними лесами, горами и легендами, город был идеальным местом для такой «странной” картины, которой еще, по сути, не было. Когда Фрост стал жить в Снокуэлми, ему рассказывали о местных событиях, о поселении индейцев, которые в один день просто исчезли, о странных жителях и, самое главное, о нераскрытом убийстве девушки, труп которой нашли на берегу озера. Так начал возникать сюжет о красавице-королеве школы, которую однажды ранним утром нашли замотанной в полиэтиленовый пакет…
Название возникло неслучайно, оно подтвердило особую закономерность этого сериала: чтобы четко увидеть то место, где будет происходить действие сериала, режиссеры воспользовались наброском Снокуэлми. Там было две горы, на разных концах города, которые словно сжимали его, не давая расширяться, оставляя поселение в рамках тех же размеров, каким он и был много лет. В сериале это противоестественное “расширение” примет образ проекта «Гоуствуд», планом которого была вырубка леса. Из-за этих двух гор сериал получил название Твин Пикс (можно перевести как Вершины-Близнецы).
А что дальше?
Я предлагаю проанализировать самые яркие символы “Твин Пикса”. Тихая музыка, птица на ветке, две горные вершины и мёртвая блондинка в полиэтилене — эти символы «Твин Пикс» безошибочно узнают не только его поклонники, но и те, кто даже не видел сериал вовсе. А что еще?
Красная комната
Интерьер Красной комнаты — самая популярная визуальная цитата из сериала. Красный — один из доминирующих цветов линчевской палитры. В мифологии “Твин Пикс” этот цвет связан со стихией огня, которая, в свою очередь, связана с миром тёмных духов. Именно поэтому стены приёмной Чёрного Вигвама стали красными, как и плотные занавеси. Чёрно-белый пол Красной комнаты не только отсылает к другому детективу Линча, «Синему бархату», но и олицетворяет два мистических мира, добрый и злой, намекая на доппельгангеров (двойников), обитающих тут. Находящаяся здесь статуя Венеры Медицейской, согласно фанатским теориям, воплощает саму красавицу Лору Палмер, находящуюся между миром живых и миром мёртвых.
“Чертовски хороший кофе!”
Главный герой Дэйл Купер обожает черный крепкий кофе и пьет его в абсолютно разных ситуациях. Но получая его в Красной комнате, жидкость из чашки не льется. И снова обращаясь к теориям, кофе — позитив, цельность, остроумие, логичность, этими качествами и обладает герой. В Красной комнате, наполненной двойниками и нечистью логичности и быть не может…
Жест Лоры Палмер
За все сезоны сериала мёртвая Лора Палмер несколько раз складывает руки в странный жест и говорит Куперу: «Тем временем» (Meanwhile). Насчёт жеста существует несколько версий. Самая популярная гласит, что это ведическая мудра (символический жест), означающая «бесстрашие». Другая версия — жест крадёт время Дейла Купера, запертого в Красной комнате, и перематывает время на 25 лет вперёд. Ещё одна догадка — Лора изображает, будто держит некий невидимый предмет — картину или вазу — или вовсе показывает, что спит на подушке.
Совы не то, чем кажутся
Совы — один из центральных символов сериала, вокруг них концентрируется огромный пласт мифологии «Твин Пикс». Эти птицы — оборотни, предвестники смерти, посланцы иного мира и проводники. «Совиный» знак, которым навечно отмечен город и некоторые его жители, похож на петроглиф реального индейского племени Вишрам, обитавшего в штате Вашингтон (здесь снимали сериал). Предположительно петроглиф служил отметкой для рыболовных мест и защитой от монстров, живущих в водоёмах.
Вигвамы
Фрагменты Чёрного вигвама мы видели в фильме «Огонь, иди за мной»: это грязная комната над заброшенным магазинчиком. В третьем сезоне Чёрный вигвам показали во всей мрачной красе. Это заброшенная бензоколонка, и геометрия её явно неевклидова: если подняться на крышу, выходишь во внутренний двор. Также мы наконец увидели Белый вигвам. Он похож на старый кинотеатр: интерьеры в стиле ар-деко, джаз по радио, большой экран, на котором духи видят всё, что происходит в мире. Здесь постоянно находится дух, которого в первых сезонах называли Великан, а в третьем — Пожарный. Возможно, это погибший при пожаре муж Дамы с поленом и именно его послания она передаёт в первых сезонах Куперу, а в третьем— Хоку.
Природа
Для создания максимально реалистичной картины Линч и Фрост изучали штат Вашингтон, который своей атмосферой и лесами идеально подходил для сериала. В итоге, авторы выбрали территорию около городков Иссакуа и Сноквалми.
Звуки
Линч апеллирует не к логике, а к невербальным ощущениям, которые маркируются конкретными звуками и видео-образами. Контрапункт звука и видео рождает последовательность меняющихся эмоциональных состояний, через которые Линч проводит зрителя. Каждое состояние уникально и не может быть отнесено к сфере однозначно положительных или отрицательных эмоций. Саундтрек к третьему сезону можно условно разделить на четыре пласта. Первый — это, собственно, саундтрек сериала, музыка, написанная в основном Анджело Бадаламенти, иногда в соавторстве с Дэвидом Линчем. Второй — музыка разных авторов, не написанная специально для сериала. Третий — выступления приглашенных музыкантов в «Доме у дороги» в Твин Пикс, традиционное завершение большинства серий. И четвертый — дарк-эмбиентный саунд-дизайн, созданный Дином Хёрли и Дэвидом Линчем. Саундтрек Бадаламенти, помимо того, что является важным элементом создания знакомой с 90-х атмосферы Твин Пикса, постоянно используется режиссером, чтобы обманывать ожидания зрителей. К примеру — вот эпизод из 16 серии.
