Sad Weird Boy в эксклюзивном интервью для #ZhurkaMagazine рассказывает о своём пути к успеху, планах на будущее и атмосфере в блогосфере. А ещё о том, почему передумал быть журналистом, хотя возможностей для этого у него было больше, чем у многих из нас.
— Сколько лет существует твой блог в Инстаграме?
— Лет пять как личный блог, года три – как публичный.
— В каких видах творчества ты пробовал себя до того, как начал вести блог?
— Я рисовал. Я вязал. Я занимался всякими декоративными штуками… вспомнил, это называется рукоделием. (Смеётся) В общем, мало было каких-то супер-хобби, которыми я занимался бы постоянно. Ну, архитектура ещё.
— Архитектура? Изучал теорию или рисовал?
— Рисовал больше. Ходил в школу при МАРХИ (Московском архитектурном институте – прим. интервьюера). Там мы рисовали чертежи, было конструирование… короче, было интересно.
— А откуда ты черпаешь вдохновение для концептов макияжа?
— Обычно это фильмы. Или сериалы. Или просто образы из головы. Я не беру за основу каких-то персонажей. А если говорить о каких-то красивых, не страшных макияжах… это обычно из Инстаграма. То есть, я что-то вижу, какую-то картинку, я её модернизирую, добавляю туда что-то, исключаю что-то, чтобы это не была копия, и… делаю.
— «Красивые» и «страшные» макияжи – под «страшными» ты подразумеваешь свои хэллоуинские образы?
— Да. Слово «страшные» звучит тупо, но… «Страшные» макияжи – это более сценические, это более аля хэллоуин, и это где используется много чёрного, тёмного, где меняется лицо, где я могу жёстко напугать, где я балуюсь в фотошопе очень много. У меня есть фотки, где это [использование фотошопа] прямо видно – но ведь выглядит-то классно, и я даже не скрываю, что их фотошоплю. Поэтому да. Деление тупое, но мне помогает понять, что я сейчас буду делать.
— Какие страницы других make up блогеров в своё время показали тебе, что бьюти-блог может быть не только хобби, но и бизнесом?
— Как бизнес эта идея пришла ко мне не от make up блогеров. Она пришла в принципе от блогеров. То есть блогеры, которые выкладывают свою жизнь, что-то у себя продают: или рекламу, или какие-то свои инфокурсы и продукты. Я это просто переложил на макияж. Но я вижу, что сейчас чаще и чаще визажисты делают инфопродукты… и это тоже хорошо, почему бы и нет.
— Ты общаешься с коллегами?
— Да, у нас хорошие отношения! Я не знаю, почему многие думают, что блогеры строят заговоры, сидят крысами в подземелье и обо всех шепчутся. Но мы супердружные, у нас есть общий чат блогеров: и миллионников, и поменьше – таких, как я. Мы там общаемся, обмениваемся опытом, можем и поржать, и рекламу продать по скидке. Короче, у нас очень хорошая компания, я считаю. Есть, конечно… ну… как бы… в семье не без урода. Поэтому бывают скандальчики, но это… ерунда.
— А блогеры общаются только в чате или и оффлайн тоже?
— Да, мы встречаемся. Можем забить встречу, можем все вместе посидеть. Бывало, что если у кого-то день рождения, то он приглашает всех. И все приходят. Дарят ему какие-то подарки или скидываются. Либо рекламу дарят. Реально, у блогеров это популярная тема, когда большинство подарков – реклама, пиар. Но это классно.
— Ты красишься в повседневной жизни или только на камеру?
— В повседневной жизни крашусь редко, только когда хочу почувствовать себя классным и вот-прям-красивым, только тогда. А так – ни ради кого-либо, ни ради мероприятия. Я могу вообще на любое мероприятие прийти вот так – и мне будет вообще всё равно.
— «Вот так» — это как?
— Лохматым и невыспавшимся, с мешками под глазами. (Смеётся) Вообще я интенсивно крашусь только для Инстаграма, потому что это моё хобби – показывать мейк на себе. В повседневной жизни я могу просто консилер… (изображает, будто наносит консилер), чуть-чуть румян, брови… всё, мне хватит. Я не люблю наносить кучу всего на будний день.
— Как ты считаешь, то, что ты юноша, влияет на уровень твоей популярности?
— О, да. (Подумав) В принципе, сейчас нет, потому что сейчас каждый второй парень наносит макияж. Но года два назад, когда я только начинал, это мне очень серьёзно помогло продвинуться, потому что все такие: «Что?» (изображает крайнее удивление). А сейчас это уже типичная тема, на этом не хайпанёшь.
— Тебе наверняка доводилось сталкиваться с негативом…
— Оффлайн – нет, никогда.
Ни один хейтер не подойдёт и не скажет тебе ничего в лицо, потому что хейтеры – это всегда закомплексованные людишки в интернете, которые строчат там какие-то гадости. Всегда, абсолютно!
Ни одного не было… [цензура: попытки пристать]. Хотя были такие взгляды: «У-у, я точно видел его в Инстаграме!». Но никто не подойдёт! Потому что кишка тонка.
— А в интернете?
— В интернете – конечно! В интернете все суперсмелые, в интернете все всегда правы, в интернете у каждого Своё Мнение, и они его выливают, как [цензура]. Сначала задевало, потом перестало – это со временем приходит. Только если это не что-то конструктивное, не когда я сам присмотрюсь – и вижу, что правда налажал.
— Это уже не хейтеры, это критика. Чью критику ты принимаешь, а чью – нет? Кто авторитет для тебя?
— Мне не важно, от кого исходит критика. Мне важно, как она преподносится. Я прислушиваюсь к советам бывалых блогеров по продвижению и выкладке. Не прислушиваюсь к родным: бабушке, тётям, дядям – которые, конечно же, всё знают об Инстаграме и интернете. Это был сарказм, если что. Не прислушиваюсь к ноунейм-малолеткам, которые пытаются вывести меня на [цензура: агрессивную дискуссию]. Бывают такие люди в директе и комментариях, которые прямо хотят, чтобы ты в это влез, напрашиваются на это – но я не поддаюсь. (Хитро улыбается) И они так от этого злятся: они пытаются выбесить меня, но в итоге я выбешиваю их тем, что не выбешиваюсь.
— Классическая схема.
(Смеёмся)
— Кстати, о семье. Как твоя семья относилась к твоему увлечению, пока оно было просто хобби, а не бизнесом?
— Вообще не понимали! То есть не то чтобы они прятали мою косметику и сжигали мои кисти у меня на глазах… такого не было. (Смеётся) Но было такое… (Изображает пренебрежение) «Ну что это такое, займись уже делом». С боем уговаривал их перевести меня на домашнее обучение. Когда перешёл, всё пошло в гору, намного больше стало времени.
— А когда ты достиг успеха, их мнение поменялось?
— Конечно! Это вообще не обсуждается. Происходило, правда постепенно. Сделал подарок маме – [дорогая модель наушников], и она такая: «Нормально… Что-то там хорошее, видно, происходит». Потом съехал на свою квартиру, потом были первые прямо классные бабки… Тогда они меня зауважали. Стали спрашивать: «Вася, как там твой бизнес?» — нет больше этого «Займись уже делом». Всё ещё волнуются немного, но это чисто родительская тема.
В их картину мира не вписывается, что для нашего поколения это нормально – когда человек уходит из школы и делает деньги. Думаю, мои родственники до сих пор до конца не понимают, чем именно я занимаюсь, и считают, что мне следовало закончить школу.
— Кстати, о разнице поколений. Как думаешь, может в будущем макияж стать одинаково популярен у парней и у девушек? — Конечно. Это уже примерно так. Например, обычным офисным работникам важно выглядеть классно, это нормально. И вот всякие «Шанели» выпускают линии для мужчин – понятно, что это просто маркетинг, способ повысить цену в два раза.
Потому что нет различий между мужской и женской кожей – говорю это специально для читателей, чтобы они не попадались на маркетинговые уловки.
— Как интересно: то есть если на бритвы и шампуни есть так называемая «розовая наценка» — женское при почти одинаковом составе стоит дороже, то на декоративную косметику в ближайшее время будет «голубая наценка»?
— Конечно. Бьюти-индустрия ведь сейчас нацелена на женщин, мужчины только приобщаются. И мужчины эти обычно с доходом выше среднего – те же офисные работники, которым важно выглядеть классно, маскировать следы недосыпа… это нормальная практика, люди на самом деле давно так делают. Бренды это замечают и решают: «Сделаем-ка мы мужскую линейку и поднимем цены». Консилер за четыре, три тысячи рублей! Это же с ума сойти! Читатели, не покупайте. Идите в женский, там всё классно. Выбирайте в своих интересах.
— В этом году, если бы ты не пошёл за своей мечтой, ты бы заканчивал школу. Что ты чувствовал, когда фактически бросил её?
— Это было так страшно… да это было суперстрашно! Я до сих немного грущу, мне хотелось бы немного, знаешь… подольше там побыть. У меня ощущение, что я обхожу стороной то, что проходят все. Что у меня нет той классной школьной жизни, которая есть у всех. Это же правда было прикольно: школьные переменки, столовка… Но я сразу пошёл по этому странному пути. Я долго уговаривал маму, у меня не было финансов… Сейчас я думаю: как я вообще мог? Потому что сейчас у меня есть сбережения на будущее, я стал более взрослым во всех смыслах. А тогда был без денег, без опыта – пошёл в эту сферу, ничего о ней не зная, наугад.
— Сейчас ты думаешь, как у тебя хватило смелости. А тогда ты думал о том, что будешь делать, если стартап провалится?
— Иногда я думаю о том, что было бы, если бы у меня ничего не получилось. (Смеётся) Ну, что. Забрал бы свой ужасный аттестат. Пошёл бы на кассу куда-нибудь в KFC. Жил бы где-нибудь в общаге. И всё же всё получилось. На самом деле я тогда не рассматривал другое развитие событий. Знаю, звучит ужасно пафосно… но вот, у меня есть то, что у меня есть. И в любом случае, если я начинаю что-то делать, то делаю всё, чтобы это что-то получилось.
— С какими трудностями тебе пришлось столкнуться в самом начале работы?
— Нужны были деньги на продвижение. Хороший Инстаграм – это куча финансовых вливаний. Так было всегда, но мне два года назад всё обошлось в десять раз дешевле, чем новичкам сейчас. Не преувеличиваю – ровно в десять раз. А нужны ещё контент-стратегия, рабочая подача – это ещё круглая сумма. Нужно договориться о взаиморекламе с другими блогерами, обычно это на менеджере, которому ты платишь процент… Я считаю себя счастливым, потому что успел запрыгнуть в этот вагон. Мало кто знает об этом, но сейчас многие, чтобы купить рекламу в Инстаграме, продают машины, берут кредиты. При правильном подходе это окупается, но… просто представь. У меня это вызывает когнитивный диссонанс.
— А какие трудности пошли потом?
— Опять же, связанные с рекламой. Бывало, реклама «не заходила». Бывало, другой блогер безответственно относился к договорённости – размещал рекламу в три часа ночи…
— Не прайм-тайм?
— Именно. Какие просмотры в три часа ночи?
— Когда же в Инстаграме прайм-тайм? Раскрой секрет.
— Тогда же, когда на радио и ТВ. От пяти до девяти вечера – потом все ложатся спать. Ещё утром часов в десять-одиннадцать, так как целевая аудитория Инстаграма всё же не офисные работники, а девочки, которые листают ленту на перемене.
— Расскажешь о значении своих татуировок? Если это не слишком личный вопрос, конечно.
— У меня нет табуированных тем. Но сразу говорю: значения нет. Многих это повергает в шок, но я правда набил их абсолютно спонтанно. Эту и эту (показывает на череп на предплечье и паука на кисти руки) я набил, когда мне было совсем плохо. Думал, что это будет новый этап. (Смеётся) Спойлер: это вообще не так работает. Я не жалею, мне они нравятся, но ведь есть люди, которые бьют какую-то дурь на эмоциях или на спор… не делайте так. Эту (показывает на абстрактную татуировку на шее) я набил вполне осознанно. Она мне тоже очень нравится – она необычная, она классная. Но смысл я в свои татуировки не вкладываю.
Я не считаю, что в татуировках обязательно должен быть смысл. Не понимаю, когда люди набивают себе что-то вроде «Действуй!», «Будь собой!», «Следуй за мечтой!» и прочие ванильные цитатки из ВКонтакте. Я и сам знаю, что мне надо действовать. И как надо действовать, знаю. И чтобы начать, мне не нужно «Действуй!» на всю руку.
— Почему именно Sad Weird Boy (Грустный Странный Мальчик)? Есть какая-то история у этого никнейма?
— (Машет руками) О-о-о, ужас, ужас, ужас! Мне так некомфортно каждый раз, когда кто-то спрашивает мой никнейм, и я вынужден это произносить. Я придумал его в 2017, когда эстетика грустных странных мальчиков была в моде, и думал, что мне обеспечен успех на долгие годы. В итоге тренд умер, а я остался «грустным странным мальчиком». Хотя на самом деле я, возможно, weird (странный), но давно уже не sad (грустный). Этот никнейм ужасно влияет на мой личный бренд – кто купит курсы у грустного странного мальчика? Скоро буду менять.
— Ты сидишь в Инстаграме для развлечения или он уже настолько превратился в работу, что не хочется?
— Сижу, конечно. Смотрю сториз и видео в рекомендациях, зависаю на страницах коллег. Но в основном по работе: посты, продажи, команда, созвоны…
— Что ты видишь финальной целью своей работы?
— Моя цель – создать онлайн-школу макияжа, доступную многим. Не каждому – такое сложно реализовать. Я уже работаю над этим проектом с продюсерами онлайн-школ. Сейчас самые плохие курсы макияжа стоят от двадцатки, а в среднем – сорок-шестьдесят тысяч рублей за пять занятий. Не понимаю, почему оффлайн-курсы макияжа до сих пор считаются лучше онлайн. Фишка онлайн-курсов в том, что можно учиться безболезненно для кошелька и нервов. В режиме онлайн обучение намного удобнее: HD-качество, можно пересматривать, рассматривать с разных ракурсов, тут же отработать, обратиться за помощью к куратору. А не сидеть в третьем ряду всеми забытым и пытаться разглядеть, как визажист красит модель.
— У тебя есть младшая сестра. Ты учишь её краситься?
— Она не горит желанием. Хотя по отдельным вопросам уже начала обращаться. Я помогаю ей, чем могу. И маму периодически крашу – хотя это стало проблематично, когда мы стали жить отдельно. Но на мероприятия – могу.
— Долгое время ты хотел, как и твой отец, быть журналистом. Почему передумал?
— Журналист – это классная профессия, ничего плохого не хочу сказать. Но… Папа устроил меня ассистентом в [известное гламурное издание], какое-то время я там поработал и понял, что это не моё. Я не хочу сидеть в офисе и гуглить ТОП пять лучших косметологов Ростова-на-Дону для статьи «Лучшие косметологи»… зачем это вообще надо? Я не хочу сидеть там фиксированное время, хочу сам назначать дедлайны и уходить, как только сделал свою работу. В общем, это всё меня несколько раздражало. Кроме того, для меня стало разочарованием то, что профессия коммерциализировалась. Я прекрасно понимаю, что все должны получать деньги за свою работу. Но когда я вижу, что писательское искусство начинает превращаться в средство заработка… Я считаю, что работа должна быть для души. И когда вижу этот поток рекламы… (Кривится) Для меня блоггинг намного более душевен: меньше рекламы, но больше денег и больше доверия. Кроме того, имея имя-бренд, всегда можно переместиться на другую площадку или в другую сферу. Я хорошо отношусь к журналистике, люблю читать «вкусные» тексты, которые написаны интересно. Но, видимо, не моя судьба их создавать.
— А что бы ты хотел сказать тем, кто собрался связать свою жизнь с журналистикой?
— Я не настолько разбираюсь в журналистике, чтобы давать советы. Но одно скажу. Не прогибайтесь. Всегда имейте свою точку зрения. За это вас и будут любить. Когда вы не сливаетесь с массой – это всегда классно и вам на руку.
