Попытаюсь разобраться в этом на примере одного из самых громких движений прошлого года — «Just Stop Oil».

Все началось 29 мая: СМИ только и писали о картине «Мона Лиза», которую испортил один из посетителей Лувра. Мужчина был переодет в пожилую женщину и попал в здание на инвалидной коляске. Молодой человек внезапно остановился возле картины, поднялся и бросил в нее торт, а затем рассыпал лепестки роз со словами «Подумайте о Земле». Таким способом он решил привлечь внимание к разрушению окружающей среды.
Следующими, кто принял эстафету, стали участники британское объединение Just Stop Oil. Они запустили волну арт-вандализма после того, как испортили несколько произведений искусства,
Just Stop Oil: Оправдывает ли цель средства?
«Just Stop Oil» — это движение экоактивистов, которое борется с глобальным потеплением. Их цель – заставить правительство Великобритании отозвать согласия на производство ископаемого топлива в стране. Вместо этого государство должно инвестировать деньги в возобновляемые источники энергии и улучшение общественного транспорта, чтобы обеспечить энергетическую безопасность.
«Мы требуем, чтобы правительство Великобритании заявило, что оно немедленно расторгнет все лицензии и соглашения на производство ископаемого топлива. Научные исследования однозначны: изменение климата представляет угрозу для человека и здоровья планеты», – написано на их официальном сайте.
Календарь арт-вандализма
29 июня экоактивисты «Just Stop Oil» атаковали Художественную галерею и музей Келвингроув в Глазго, Галерею Курто в Лондоне и Манчестерскую художественную галерею. В Институте Курто две активистки приклеили себя к картине Винсента Ван Гога «Цветущие персиковые деревья». Они выбрали именно ее, потому что местность, которая изображена на картине рискует столкнуться с засухой.
В заявлении группировки говорится: «Для учреждений культуры аморально стоять и смотреть, как наше общество катится к разрушению. Галереи должны закрыться. Руководители художественных институций должны призвать правительство немедленно остановить все новые нефтегазовые проекты. Мы либо сопротивляемся, либо становимся соучастниками».
5 июля они напали на копию «Тайной вечери» в Королевской академии художеств, 6 июля — на «Телегу для сена» Джона Констебла в лондонской Национальной галерее.
На протяжении всего лета активисты были замечены в музеях Италии и Германии. Они приклеивали руки к картинам и статуям, приковывали себя наручниками к перилам церкви.
14 октября пострадали «Подсолнухи» Ван Гога в Лондонской Национальной галерее. Через десять дней, 23 октября, итальянская группа движения напала на «Стога» Клода Моне в Потсдамском Музее Барберини.
«Мы переживаем климатическую катастрофу, и все, чего вы боитесь, — это томатный суп или картофельное пюре, которое испортит картину. Знаете, чего я боюсь? Мне страшно, потому что наука показывает, что мы не сможем прокормить наши семьи в 2050 году. Эта картина ничего не будет стоить, если нам придется бороться за еду. Когда вы, наконец, начнете слушать?» – говорят протестующие.
Преступление и наказание
По данным Министерства Внутренних дел, с начала акций в Лондоне было арестовано более 600 участников движения. Двух из трех активистов, которые напали на картину Яна Вермеера «Девушка с жемчужной сережкой» в Королевской галерее Маурицхейс в Гааге, приговорили к двум месяцам тюрьмы. Обвинение запрашивало для активистов четыре месяца заключения, однако судья объявила, что не желает, чтобы приговор помешал другим людям участвовать в акциях.
На что только не идут защитники природы, чтобы привлечь внимание общественности и властей к глобальным проблемам. Политолог Антон Бредихин считает, что экоактивисты перестали быть маргиналами общества. Теперь они — сила, которая способна захватить идеологические массы и уничтожить все то, что так ассоциировано с культурным кодом старого мира и я согласна с ним.
