«Собака бывает кусачей только от жизни собачей» – начало, казалось бы, детской песенки, но становится всё больше таких животных с «собачьей жизнью». Чтобы у них был хоть какой-то дом, стали создавать приюты. Но как там относятся к собакам и кошкам – хорошо или плохо?
Существуют два вида приютов: государственные и частные. Частные существуют при помощи добровольцев и пожертвований. В таких местах часто нехватка рабочей силы и финансов, потому что не каждый готов помогать. По статистике ВЦИОМ, только 4% населения России жертвует деньги в приюты для бездомных животных. По сравнению с пожертвованиями в другие организации, такой суммы едва ли хватает прокормить всех питомцев, не то, что закупить новое оборудование для содержания и лечения.
В государственных приютах дела обстоят лучше. Деньги им выделяют из налогов, но даже их может не хватить на большое количество животных. Именно поэтому в 2020 году приняли отдельные положения в Федеральном законе об ответственном отношении с животными, включая программу «ОСВВ» — отлов, стерилизация, вакцинация, возврат с неснимаемой меткой. Бродячие собаки и кошки, согласно этой программе, относительно защищены и находятся в привычной для них среде обитания.
Тогда как же справляются частные и государственные приюты, если их бюджет не настолько большой, чтобы содержать большое количество бродячих животных? Им помогают волонтёры. Они находят «хорошие руки», в которые можно будет отдать животное, или берут его к себе на передержку. С их помощью, приюты могут выводить гулять животных за свою территорию. Пандемия показала, что добровольцы — это стержень, который держит приют.
Как помочь животным?
Лучшей помощью для приюта будет то, что вы заберете к себе одну из кошек или собак. Так, вы осчастливите и себя, и уже своего питомца. Если же нет возможности, то можно стать волонтёром и помогать приюту выгуливать и кормить собак. Было бы неплохо, если вы будете приобщать и свою семью к помощи животным из приюта. Как говорится: «Самое доброе животное — это животное из приюта».
