Для некоторых людей  написание, оформление и отправление бумажных писем — это ритуал. Увлечения postcrossing и mailart — не только приятное времяпрепровождение, но и возможность получить новые навыки.

Что такое “mailart” и “postcrossing”?

Когда вы в последний раз получали или писали письмо? Сегодня отправка почтовой корреспонденции кажется необычной деятельностью, немного устаревшей и даже бессмысленной. На смену бумажным сообщениям пришли электронные: мы активно используем социальные сети и мессенджеры. 

Postcrossing (с англ. post — почта, cross — пересекать) — это способ общения, который основывается на отправлении почтовых карточек, то есть открыток. Их можно отправлять не только по России, но и за рубеж. Достаточно подписать адрес получателя, оформить (по желанию), приклеить марку и бросить в почтовый ящик. Послание достигнет друга!

Mail Art (с америк. mail — почта, art — искусство) — тоже один из способов общения через бумажные письма. Здесь фантазия отправителя безгранична: можно искусно оформлять конверты, прикладывать к письму наклейки или чай (смотря, что получатель любит), подбирать марки в соответствии с дизайном отправления. Такие письма тоже можно отправлять и внутри своей страны, и за рубеж.

Помогут ли эти увлечения стать более креативным?

Безусловно, да! Для оформления конвертов и открыток можно использовать разные материалы: декоративные скотчи, наклейки, рисунки, печати, гербарий и даже сургуч. Черпать идеи для будущих писем можно в Instagram или в Pinterest. Также, postcrossing и mailart научат вас рисовать. Если вы захотите превратить послание в произведение искусства — воспользуйтесь акварелью, цветными ручками и карандашами и начинайте творить. Изображены на письме цветы или литературный персонаж — не важно. Важно то, что вашему другу это определенно понравится, а вы будете развиваться творчески.

Найти иностранного друга можно в Instagram по хэштегу#penpalswanted. Теперь, когда вы познакомились с  человеком, который также рад обмениваться письмами, задайте ему несколько вопросов. К примеру, какой у него любимый цвет, фильм, напиток — это поможет оформить конверт в соответствии с его интересами и настроиться на доброжелательное общение. После того, как вы закончили с декорированием, продумайте, о чем вы напишите сначала на русском, затем на английском — это уменьшит количество ошибок. Лучше всего в первом письме рассказать о себе: где вы живете, чем увлекаетесь, в каких странах бывали и почему изучаете английский язык. Это самая простая и базовая информация. Ее напишет любой человек, который изучал этот иностранный язык в школе. Когда закончите писать, отправляйтесь на почту. Там вам помогут подобрать марки по нужным тарифам. Приклеивайте их и кладите письмо в специальный ящик. Послание за границу идет около месяца, поэтому не спешите огорчаться, если на следующей неделе оно еще не дойдет до получателя.

Теперь вы получили ответ — например, красивое письмо из Англии, в котором ваш собеседник расскажет о себе. Попробуйте сначала самостоятельно ознакомиться с текстом и перевести то, что знаете, а если будет трудно — воспользуйтесь переводчиком. Так, вы будете изучать новые слова, грамматические конструкции, которые сможете применить и в своей речи.
