Еще в конце февраля 2021 года сообщили о новом фильме Ари Астера, а съемки начались в июне того же года в Монреале. Дата выхода рассчитана на 2022 год.
2. Актерский состав
Известно, что главную роль сыграет Хоакин Феникс, получивший премию «Оскар» за роль в «Джокере». Помимо этого, в фильме снимается Стивен Хендерсон, который известен своей игрой в DEVS, Duna, Lady Bird. Он дал несколько комментариев о съемках: «Рабочее название фильма – «Бульвар Разочарования», но я не знаю сохранится ли оно. Я работал с Хоакином, чему очень рад. Он действительно хороший человек. И должен работать с Пэтти Люпон, мы учились в одной школе, но впервые профессионально работаем вместе. Так что это настоящая радость – работать с Хоакином и Пэтти одновременно».
Контракт также заключили Натан Лейн, Паркер Поузи, Эми Райан, Майкл Гандольфини, Дени Меноше и Зои Листер-Джонс.
3. Создатели
Над фильмом работает художница по костюмам Фиона Кромби, её последней деятельностью был фильм «Круэлла».
Оператор Павел Погоржельски и продюсер Ларс Кнудсен руководят уже третьим по счету фильмом Ари Астера – до этого были «Реинкарнация» и «Солнцестояние».
Сюжет
В социальных сетях появились фотографии с места съемок – Хоакин Феникс снова удивляет своей трансформацией. На этот раз он играет 46-летнего мужчину на вид уставшего и потрепанного. Режиссер не раскрывает деталей, однако фильм представляет собой «интимный, охватывающий десятилетия портрет одного из самых успешных предпринимателей всех времен». Не ясно – основан ли фильм на реальной биографии или вымышленной. Когда Астера спрашивали о проекте он назвал его «кошмарной комедией» длительностью в 4 часа. И это подтверждается актерским составом, половина которого известна игрой в триллерах, а другая в комедиях.
Судя по запланированным съемкам актеров, можно предположить, что «Бульвар Разочарования» выйдет во второй половине 2022 года.
