Валерия Мартьянова – книжный блогер, журналист и обладатель премии «Блог-пост-2020». Она работала в сетевом и независимом книжных магазинах, на телевидении, вела колонки о книгах в различных медиа: «Мел», «Такие Дела», «Фоксфорд». 6 лет назад она завела блог, в котором эмоционально рассказывает о книгах для детей и подростков. С 2019 года Валерия занимается только блогом, но иногда также записывает аудиокниги, выпускает подкаст «Как Мартышка», берет интервью у писателей и проводит лекции, мастер-классы и чтения вслух. Мы поговорили с Лерой и узнали, что значит быть блогером.
— Валерия, как Вам пришла идея завести блог о книгах?
Я хотела увеличить продажи в независимом книжном магазине «Мы», в котором я работала. Так я завела блог, чтобы привлекать покупателей. Это был проект моих друзей. Он находился на Невском проспекте 20, бывший Дом Военной книги. Раньше на третьем этаже ресторанного комплекса был небольшой независимый книжный магазин. Люди, которые туда ходили, хотели купить открытки, красивые книжки, что-нибудь про Петербург, а у нас в основном были философские и научно-популярные книги. Я захотела немножко расширить ассортимент. Из одного стеллажа детских книг сделала три, добавила комиксы. В общем, решила, что магазин будет больше ориентирован на детскую и детско-родительскую публику, потому что на втором этаже был семейный ресторан. Там была детская комната, и к нам часто заходили родители с детьми. Чтобы все узнали, что у нас есть классные детские книжки, я завела блог.
Спустя какое-то время я уволилась из книжного магазина. Тогда меня многие попросили не бросать блог. Некоторые издательства стали сами предлагать книги. Например, «Самокат» и «Поляндрия». Они всегда были рады меня видеть, предлагали работу, звали на ярмарки. Были заинтересованы в том, чтобы я продолжала вести блог. Я и продолжила. Однако одновременно с работой на телевидении это было довольно тяжело.

— Как вы совмещали работу и блог?
Я сейчас сама об этом думаю… При нынешних объемах блога я, наверное, не справилась бы. Когда я им не зарабатывала, он для меня был чем-то вроде хобби. Сейчас у меня есть и редакторская деятельность, и реклама, и обязательства перед моими спонсорами. Успевать все это вместе с рабой сложно, поэтому я уволилась.
— Сколько времени вы тратите на блог?
Я стараюсь думать о нем каждый день, но посты пишу не каждый день. Не всегда хочется высказываться о книжках. Иногда я долго вынашиваю тексты внутри себя. Обычно выходит, что я занимаюсь блогом ежедневно, но с разных сторон: сторис, реклама, общение с подписчиками.
— Как вы «вынашиваете тексты»?
Бывает, что прочитал книжку, и наступает «книжное похмелье». Не хочется ни с кем делиться тем ощущением, что есть у тебя. И вот я хожу и думаю о том, на что похожа книжка, какие мысли она у меня вызывает. Я пытаюсь вплести прочитанное в собственный опыт, чтобы транслировать сюжет и при этом не спойлерить его, чтобы человек сам посмотрел на книгу с другой стороны и сравнил свои ощущения с моими.
Мы живем в век «супер-гипер-медиа-эмпатий», и для нас мнение блогеров важно потому, что нам интересно, какие чувства он испытал, и какие испытаю я.
— То есть люди хотят сравнить свои чувства и ваши?
Конечно. Как мне кажется, это основная мотивация тех, кто подписывается на блогеров. Тебе нравится кто-то как личность, ты видишь, как он воспринимает реальность, что у него есть свой определенный вкус, и ты думаешь: «А попробую-ка я тоже». Именно поэтому становятся успешными ребята, которые рассказывают про определенную косметику, играют в определенные игры, читают определенные книжки, ездят в определенные путешествия.
— Что лично вам дает ваш блог?
Блог – это то, что я люблю, без чего я не могу. Не могу остановиться, когда рассказываю о книжках. У меня были эксперименты. Несколько раз я внутри себя бросала блог. Проходит неделя, и у меня начинают чесаться руки. Я читаю какую-нибудь книжку и думаю, что не могу без блога. Я хочу, хочу вставить цитату в сторис, сфоткать книжку, рассказать о ней. Пока я не могу остановиться рассказывать. Устаю – отдыхаю: смотрю на лес, на море, гуляю с друзьями.
— С какими трудностями вы столкнулись, когда начали вести блог?
Я не очень понимала формат, не так хорошо писала, была менее уверенным редактором для самой себя. У меня было мало опыта, но это все приходит. Я видела разных блогеров: Полину Парс, Диму Гасина, опиралась на них, но не копировала. Мне их форматы не очень подходили. Я люблю короткие видео, небольшие тексты и простые фотки. Я считаю, что это лучше всего работает с моей аудиторией, потому что литературоведческие статьи читают ребята, которые глубже разбираются в литературе, которым это для чего-то нужно. Мне же хочется, чтобы читающей публики было больше, чтобы мы говорили о книжках просто и естественно. Я хочу, чтобы чтение стало массовым.
Я наблюдала за коллегами, которые топили за визуал. Они обкладывали книжечки гирляндочками, шишечками. Мне это не нравилось, и я была к этому не готова. Для меня в фотографии книжки важна книжка. Больше ничего. Было сложно найти свой формат. Но наблюдения за другими помогли. Поняла, что мне надо и чего я делать точно не хочу. Чтобы у меня не воровали фото, я использую свою татуированную руку. Это как марка, лучший водяной знак для меня. Это мой символ. Сейчас уже все понимают, чья это рука.
— В 2020 году вы получили гран-при на конкурсе «Блог-пост». Как вы ее получили?
Моя подруга, которая была пиарщицей в издательстве «Самокат», предложила мне подать заявку на конкурс «Блог-пост». Я не очень хотела, но она настаивала. Я сдалась. И до последнего не верила, что что-то возьму, но вошла в топ лучших. Так получилось, что мой блог с 12-13 тысячами подписчиков набрал больше всего голосов. Одна девочка начала меня поливать в сети грязью, из-за чего на меня подписалось еще несколько медийных ребят. Потом я приехала в Москву на награждение за хрустальной статуэткой в категории Instagram. Счастливая, сижу на полу, у меня грамоты, подписка на Mybook. Меня одарили, мне приятно. Подходит финальная точка. За гран-при были жирные призы: куча сертификатов от издательства «Эксмо», новая электронная книжка, коробка книг. Я сижу наблюдаю за тем, как жюри подводят к тому, что у них не было сомнений, что это была единогласная любовь. И тут же стоят ребята, которых я знаю и люблю. Я думаю, что гран-при достанется кому-то из них. И тут произносят мое имя… Я не понимаю, что происходит. До сих пор до конца не могу понять, почему выбрали меня. Может, потому что я веселая.
— Какие советы вы бы дали начинающим блогерам?
Ничего не бойтесь. Нет вообще ничего страшного в этой жизни, пока ты не умер. Постарайтесь быть честными. Если вы не хотите рассказывать все про свою жизнь – не рассказывайте. Вы имеете право не отвечать на каждое слово. Ваши подписчики – не ваши самые близкие друзья. Это тонкая грань. Сохранять субординацию в интернете важно. Блогеру необходимо понимать: где он, а где его медиасущность. Ищите себя, пробуйте много разного, найдите то, что приносит вам удовольствие.
Главное – не бояться и пробовать. У меня на молескине сейчас цитата Винсента Ван Гога: «Большие дела делаются чредой маленьких». И это действительно так. Делая понемногу каждый день, через год ты увидишь результат.
