Фильм вызвал резонанс в обществе,поскольку в нем демонстрировалось жесткое обращение с животными. Чтоб понять к чему именно призывают нас авторы этой картины,поговорим об этичной косметике.
ЭТИЧНАЯ КОСМЕТИКА
Этичная косметика отличается от любой другой отсутствием в составе продуктов животного происхождения, токсичных для людей и окружающей среды ингредиентов и тем,что ее не тестируют на животных.Фирмы производящие такую косметику обычно маркируют упаковки надписью «Cruelty Free». Важно отметить что не вся органическая косметика является этичной и не все упаковки из-под этичной косметики являются биоразлагаемыми. Чтоб людям было яснее какую именно продукцию они покупают международные организации по защите животных публикуют так называемые «белые» и «черные» списки компаний производящих декоративную и уходовую косметику.
Не редко производители косметики наживаются на невнимательности покупателей, делая на упаковке сноску «не тестируется на животных, кроме случаев, когда этого требует законодательство». Это значит,что фирма направляет свою продукцию в Китай,где тестирование косметики на животных является обязательным. Косметика с такой пометкой не считается этичной.

Многие люди ошибочно думают,что если косметика не будет тестироваться на животных, ее будут тестировать на людях.На самом же деле на данный момент существует порядка 450 этичных способов исследования, подтвержденных наукой. Уже более 33 стран (США, Израиль, ЕС и др.) запретили тестирование на животных косметических средств.Разберем несколько методов исследования косметической продукции.
- Метод выращивания искусственной кожи. Он заключается в том.что у здорового человека берется небольшой кусочек кожи и из него выращивают клетки кератиноциты (клетки эпителиальной ткани, составляющие основную массу эпидермиса у млекопитающих). В лабораторных условиях ученые способны вырастить искусственную кожу любого типа: с морщинами, сухую или жирную и т.д.. На ней и проводят тесты.
- Компьютерное моделирование. В современном мире компьютерные коды могут в точности воспроизводить реакции человеческого организма на различные препараты, копируя поведение иммунной системы и метаболизма человека.
- Имитатор человеческого тела. Медицинская компания SynDaver под разработала тренажер, который полностью имитирует человеческое тело и отображает все его процессы, включая свойства клеток живой ткани (терморегуляторные, физико-химические и механические). Тренажер успешно показывает аллергические реакции и другие побочные эффекты косметических средств.
ПРЕИМУЩЕСТВА И НЕДОСТАТКИ
Использование этичной косметики также имеет свои плюсы и минусы,в которых стоит разобраться прежде,чем начать ей пользоваться. Несомненным плюсом является то,что содержание полезных растительных компонентов в такой косметике велико, а это весьма полезно для кожи. Если в них и присутствуют синтетические добавки, то их немного, и они в большинстве своём безопасны.Также вегетарианская косметика не имеет возрастных ограничений,а упаковки из-под таких средств допускают вторичную переработку и не загрязняют окружающую среду.Но при этом важно заметить, что не все из них содержат именно безобидные добавки. Встречаются и мутагены, и парабены, и продукты нефтепереработки,которые могут нанести вред не только коже человека,но и природе. Этичная косметика, не содержащая отдушек, часто имеет неприятный запах, ассоциирующийся у некоторых с лекарствами.
Чем больше внимания мы привлечем к этой проблеме,тем больше сил люди бросят на ее решение, а значит мы способны повлиять на освобождение животных.
