Люди, рожденные в СССР, считают, что высшее образование гарантирует жизненный успех. Однако современная молодежь уже не верит этому мифу. Сегодняшние студенты по собственному желанию отчисляются из вузов, причем массово – по данным Минобрнауки России, сотнями тысяч ежегодно. Журнал «ЖуркаМурка» собрал реальные истории ребят, которые не побоялись нарушить общепринятые порядки и бросили свои университеты, так их и не окончив. Каждый из них поделился собственным опытом: почему отчислился, как отреагировали близкие и как это решение повлияло на их дальнейшую жизнь.
Полина, поступала в Высшую школу бизнеса, искусств и технологий (RISEBA) в Риге на специальность «Бизнес-психология»
Университет RISEBA был очень удобным вариантом: подходил по финансам и находился недалеко от моего места жительства – г. Калининграда. На самом деле, я до последнего момента не знала, куда хочу поступать, потому что меня всегда многое интересовало, я всегда была достаточно разносторонним ребёнком. Но не было ничего такого, что я хотела бы изучать несколько лет подряд.
Не знаю, зачем я поступила на эту специальность. Мне не была интересна изучаемая область. Однако я учила всё, что нам давали, потому что была ответственной, исполнительной студенткой. Спустя полгода обучения я решила бросить вуз, потому что поняла, что учу то, что мне не интересно, накапливаю пустые знания, которые мне не пригодятся на деле, будут просто занимать место в моей голове.
Уйти было сложно. Мне казалось, что я одна против целого мира. Меня не поддерживали родители, близкие, потому что они считали, что высшее образование необходимо для успешной жизни. Они говорили: «Выучить хоть на кого-то». Но у меня уже были свои цели, желания, свои мечты, за которыми я хотела следовать. Мне, 18-летнему подростку, было страшно. В моих мыслях постоянно была дилемма: следовать своим целям или поддаться влиянию окружающих. Как раз в тот непростой период произошло моё личностное становление. Именно тогда я осознала, что слушать нужно только себя.
Я не жалею, что ушла из вуза, а, напротив, благодарна себе, что набралась тогда смелости и не поддалась общественному мнению. Последние 4 года я занималась тем, что мне интересно, вместо того чтобы торчать в универе, который мне не нужен, и просиживать своё время на парах, которые меня не увлекают. За это время я прошла множество курсов, поработала, попробовала себя в различных специальностях. Это очень круто.
Сейчас я продолжаю заниматься самообразованием, развиваюсь в сферах, которые меня привлекают. Например, обучаюсь восточной медицине. Также увлекаюсь йогой — это то, в чём я себя нашла. Для меня йога — не просто физическая культура, а философия, глубокая наука о теле и душе. Ещё я снимаю видео для YouTube-канала – это моя большая радость и отдушина.
Всем школьникам и студентам, которые выбирают свой путь, хочу сказать: слушайте себя, найдите свою цель и идите к ней. Тогда обязательно всё получится. Нет единого рецепта успеха для всех. У каждого своя дорога. Кому-то необходимо пойти в университет, а кто-то сможет самореализоваться без вуза. Главное – самому себе ответить на вопрос «А хочу ли я этого?»
Дмитрий, поступал в Жетысуский государственный университет на специальность «Графический дизайн»
Я жил в небольшом городе, и с выбором специальностей там очень туго. Творческие же вообще в ограниченном количестве. А именно такие меня интересовали.
Инициаторами поступления в вуз были мои родители, хотя я сразу говорил, что не вижу в этом смысла, потому что хотел двигаться совсем в другом направлении. Но они настояли, так что выбора не осталось. Переубедить их я не мог, потому что и сам ещё не особо понимал, чего хочу от жизни. Поэтому что мне сказали, то я и сделал.
Обучение не понравилось мне с самого начала. У нас была очень маленькая группа — около 10 человек, при этом примерно 7 из них собирались перевестись после первой сессии. Ребята не были заинтересованы в обучении, творчестве, не сдавали работы, а большинство даже никогда не занималось дизайном. Обычно выполнял задания только я – правда, без особого энтузиазма.
Уровень моих знаний при поступлении в вуз был значительно выше того, на котором там обучали. Я уже неплохо владел фотошопом, графическими редакторами, мог шить. Каково было мое удивление, когда на первом курсе меня начали учить, как открывать и закрывать фотошоп и как пользоваться Paint. Наши преподаватели даже не знали культовых личностей в области дизайна, например, Энди Уорхола. Не обесцениваю их труд, просто я был уже на уровень выше всего этого.
В конце первого курса я поехал к друзьям в Москву и в ходе этой поездки понял, что хочу заниматься другим делом, что для этого мой круг общения должен состоять из правильных людей, что в маленьком городе я отличаюсь от окружающих и, по их мнению, занимаюсь какой-то ерундой. Очень скоро я решил, что мне не нужно это обучение, потому что хорошим специалистом я оттуда все равно не выйду, а диплом вряд ли пригодится в моей деятельности.
Сейчас я переехал в столицу и занимаюсь здесь брейдингом, плету дреды, иногда подрабатываю моделью на съёмках. Также работаю с брендом одного питерского художника. Меня всё устраивает, и я совершенно не жалею, что ушёл из вуза.
Мой совет студентам: разберитесь со своими желаниями и мыслями. Узнайте себя как можно лучше, найдите гармонию с собой, поймите, чего хотите от жизни. Пробуйте, ничего не бойтесь и не обращайте внимания на мнение окружающих. Если ты осознаешь, что твоё обучение в вузе — пустая трата времени, и намного приятнее для тебя было бы другое дело, почему бы не забрать документы? Заниматься тем, что тебе никогда не пригодится, намного хуже, чем однажды рискнуть и либо прогореть, либо прийти к чему-то хорошему.
Анастасия, поступала в Южно-Уральский государственный университет на специальность «Международные отношения»
Выбор пал на «Международные отношения», потому что мне было интересно изучать языки, а также привлекала возможность путешествий и командировок за рубеж.
Сначала мне всё нравилось: мы изучали достаточно интересные дисциплины, например, «Международные коммуникации». Там нам рассказывали о вербальном и невербальном поведении людей в разных странах, о правильном ведении переговоров с учётом этих особенностей. Но позже оказалось, что выбранная мной специальность оказалась не такой, какой я её представляла. Языку уделялось не так много времени, сколько хотелось бы. В основном мы изучали политику и историю. О стажировках за границу и путешествиях не могло быть и речи — я училась в Челябинске, а подобные возможности есть только у московских студентов, к примеру из МГИМО. Тут же я поняла, что моя специальность — это не то, что мне нужно. Особой тяги к языкам у меня не было, как и мотивации для продолжения учёбы. И здесь я решила уйти из вуза.
Принять решение об уходе было удивительно легко. Однажды я просто ехала в университет и задала себе вопрос: «А зачем вообще всё это?», — и на следующий же день забрала документы. О своём решении я не пожалела ни на минуту, наоборот — даже почувствовала облегчение, будто избавилась от какого-то тяжёлого груза.
В будущем я планирую сдать ЕГЭ по литературе и снова поступить в вуз — на журналистику. Это та специальность, которая действительно мне подходит. Это область, в которой я хочу реализоваться.
Сначала мои родители отреагировали неоднозначно. К моей идее сдать дополнительный ЕГЭ и перепоступить они отнеслись скептически. Но после того, как они меня выслушали, когда мы вместе взвесили все «за» и «против», с их стороны появилась поддержка.
Студентам, которые встанут перед таким же выбором, я хочу посоветовать не слушать никого, кроме себя, своего сердца и своих желаний. Не думайте ни о чем, кроме своего благополучия. Никогда не волнуйтесь о том, как отреагируют другие, что они будут говорить о вас. Ведь никто кроме вас самих не знает, что вы чувствуете и что вам на самом деле нужно.
Руслан, поступал в Дальневосточный государственный университет путей сообщения на специальность «Строительство железных дорог»
На тот момент у меня не было понимания, куда поступать и зачем. Поэтому решил пойти туда, где хватило бы моих баллов ЕГЭ, чтобы поступить на бюджет. ДВГУПС – кстати, один из самых престижных вузов в Хабаровске — стал лучшим вариантом.
Обучение не нравилось мне с самого начала, но я нормально к этому отнесся. Первый курс был адаптационным — учиться не хотелось совсем, на втором я более или менее освоился, а на третьем-четвёртом курсе понял, что моя специальность — далеко не то, чем я хочу заниматься, что обучение — пустая трата времени.
Нельзя сказать однозначно, пожалел ли я о своём уходе из вуза. Может быть, я немного поторопился. Нужно было потерпеть оставшиеся 1,5 года — так я рассуждаю теперь, спустя время. Но тогда внутри меня были совсем другие чувства: полная апатия, отсутствие какого-либо желания вставать с постели утром и ехать в вуз, чтобы бесцельно проводить там своё время.
Мои родители отреагировали на уход из университета негативно, но мне удалось их убедить, что я знаю, что делаю. Тогда я впервые поступил так, как сам посчитал нужным. Особых претензий ко мне не было, ведь я не перешел на обеспечение родителей, а стал работать, но всё-таки они долго припоминали мне этот случай.
Я не хотел бы вернуться в ДВГУПС, но скорее всего придется – опять же, всё очень сомнительно и неточно, — потому что у меня осталось несколько лет, чтобы восстановиться на прежний курс и получить «корочку» о высшем образовании. Возможно, она понадобится мне в будущем для продвижения в работе. В моих планах — восстановиться на заочное обучение, исключительно чтобы получить образование, и наконец закрыть гештальт.
Сейчас я работаю в сфере продаж, уже сменил кучу разных компаний в попытках найти себя. Масштабных планов на будущее у меня нет, просто хотелось бы поймать стабильность, и на её почве двигаться дальше, делать себе состоятельную жизнь.
Совет студентам, попавшим в ту же ситуацию, что и я: всегда взвешивайте все «за» и «против». Это сложно, особенно когда в вашей голове уже сделан окончательный выбор. Но, как показывает практика, из поспешностей не выходит ничего хорошего. Помните: любое ваше решение будет правильным.
