«В журналистике могут работать только экстраверты, интровертам там делать нечего».
Это высказывание я слышала ни один раз и до сих пор продолжаю сталкиваться с людьми, которые придерживаются данной позиции. Они с удивлением спрашивают: «Да как же журналист может быть интровертом? Там же нужно постоянно общаться, где-то быть, что-то делать. А быть интровертом — это дефект в такой работе». И сейчас я, решившая связать свою жизнь с этой профессией, задумалась: а почему это так? Почему люди признают в журналистике только ярких представителей экстраверсии? Почему они считают, что те же интроверты не могут работать в данной сфере? В своей статье я попробую выяснить — ошибочно данное мнение или же правдиво.
Коротко о типах личности
Экстраверсия – интроверсия является одним из самых распространённых в психологии способов типологии личности, основанным на общительности человека. Данный способ принадлежит психиатру Карлу Юнгу и учёному-психологу Гансу Айзенку. В настоящее время принято выделять третий тип – амбиверсию. А теперь обо всём по порядку.
Экстраверсия проявляется в дружелюбном, разговорчивом, энергичном поведении, в то время как интроверсия — в более замкнутом и уединённом. Экстравертам присуща общительность, им нравятся общественные мероприятия, а также шумные компании. Интровертов же больше волнует внутренняя ментальность, у них нет нужды во внешних взаимодействиях, как у экстравертов. Изначально выделяли только эти два типа личности, но со временем появился третий. Амбиверты – это люди, проявляющие качества и экстраверта, и интроверта, которые не могут отнести себя к какому-то одному типу.
Даже те, кто не интересуется психологией, чаще всего знают об этих типах темперамента. Это мелькает на телевидении, проскакивает в постах в Интернете, слышится из обрывков разговоров. И всегда краткое объяснение понятий «экстраверт» и «интроверт» выглядит примерно так: «ну, экстраверт не может без людей, постоянно лезет всюду со своими разговорами, весь такой энергичный и вечно улыбающийся, а вот интроверт только молчит, совсем не умеет общаться с людьми и всегда сидит грустный дома». Именно на этом этапе формируются стереотипы.
Изначально, когда типология «Экстраверсия – интроверсия» только появилась, объяснение типов действительно впадало в некие крайности. Со временем данная типология развивалась учёными и в настоящее время имеет совсем другие значения. Из-за ложной подачи информации в СМИ, да и просто людей, плохо разбирающихся в этом вопросе, у социума сложилась своя собственная картина в голове, появилось предубеждённое отношение.
Такие стереотипы играют плохую роль. Люди путаются: кто-то считает, что все интроверты сплошь социофобы и мизантропы, кто-то уверен в том, что экстраверты обязаны всегда быть в отличном настроении и находиться на каждой вечеринке. Важно понять, что оба типа темперамента не имеют чётких установок, как это было ранее. И экстраверт, и интроверт — оба типа могут не всегда соответствовать вашим ожиданиям.
Ниже приведены некоторые примеры стереотипов и настоящие факты об экстраверсии и интроверсии:
✖Экстраверты не любят одиночество, они не способны находиться без людей ни физически, ни морально.
✓Экстраверты действительно любят находиться среди людей, но это не значит, что у них не бывает моментов, когда они хотят побыть в одиночестве.
✖Интроверты совершенно не умеют и не любят общаться с людьми. Всё, что они делают, — молчат и находятся где-то в своих мыслях.
✓Интроверты любят находиться в своих собственных мыслях и не настолько любят общение, как экстраверты, но они спокойно и нормально общаются, если они того хотят и если им позволяет их моральное состояние.
✖Экстраверты обожают разговаривать и всегда только рады любой возможности начать разговор.
✓Любовь к общению отличает экстравертов от других, но общаться абсолютно с любым и каждую минуту? Нет, они очень даже не прочь и просто молча постоять в некоторые моменты.
✖Интроверты не способны находиться на каком-то многолюдном мероприятии. Это не для них.
✓Абсолютное нет. Интроверт с большим удовольствием может пойти на такое мероприятие, если ему это интересно. Просто через какое-то время ему нужно уединиться хотя бы на небольшое время, чтобы передохнуть и собраться с мыслями.
✖Экстраверты всегда за любую активность, за любой поход на какое-нибудь мероприятие.
✓ Нет, нет и нет. Экстраверты не будут соглашаться абсолютно на каждое предложение что-то сделать, и они не пойдут в какое-то место, где большое скопление людей. Они активны и энергичны, но это не значит, что всегда ободряют абсолютно всё. Иногда они просто хотят отдохнуть от этого.
Итак, мы видим, что экстраверты и интроверты бывают разными, и не все являются ходячими стереотипами. Большинство людей до сих пор неправильно воспринимает эти типы темперамента.
Журналист, каким он должен быть
А теперь вернёмся к журналистике. Для того, чтобы узнать, может ли интроверт быть журналистом, нужно понять, какими качествами должен обладать сам журналист.
Основные качества, которые должны быть у настоящего журналиста:
- Наблюдательность
- Внимательность
- Созерцание
- Любовь к жизни
- Движение
- Энергия
- Честность
- Дерзость
- Смелость
Хочется узнать: неужели интроверт не способен иметь эти качества? Конечно же, способен. Он может как иметь их изначально, так и вырабатывать благодаря работе.
А теперь посмотрим на обязанности журналиста:

| • Снимать видео | • Уметь монтировать и обрабатывать снимки |
| • Работать с онлайн-вёрсткой | • Иметь специализацию |
| • Владеть навыками пиара и рекламы |
Что же мы видим? С такими обязанностями может справиться человек, у которого есть специальные навыки. И тут уже неважно, экстраверт ты или интроверт.
Миф или правда?
Увы, но людям, считающим, что журналистика только для экстравертов, нужно понять, что это совершенно не так. В журналистике главным является сам журналист. И только от него зависит вся работа, весь его материал и вся информация в нём.
Интровертность и экстравертность не определяют полностью наше поведение. И уж тем более они не определяют все наши качества и умения. Деление на типы личности очень удобно, но человек может не соответствовать всем прописанным в этих типах качествам.
Если человек хорош в своём деле, то неважно, какой у него темперамент. Интроверты работают в сфере журналистики и выполняют свои обязанности не хуже тех же экстравертов. Важно это понимать и смотреть на работу человека, а не на его психологический тип личности.
